WE ARE A PRIVATE HOA COMMUNITY AND “NO SOLICITING, NO TRESPASSING AND NO LOITERING” IS PERMITTED. THE HOA BOARD HAS NOT GIVEN ANY SALESPERSON PERMISSION TO SOLICIT WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY. ALSO, YOUR NEIGHBORS HAVEN’T SENT THE SOLICITORS TO YOUR HOUSE….IT’S A SCAM!
If you are bothered by a solicitor, please advise them to leave the community. There are “No Trespassing, No Soliciting and No Loitering” signs clearly posted at each of our gate entrances. If they don’t leave, please call the Palm Bay Police Department’s non-emergency line to file a “Trespass” complaint. Their non-emergency phone number is (321) 952-3456. After you have done so, please email our Board of Directors to notify them with as much information you can provide.
If you are having work done on your property, please advise the contractor that soliciting is not allowed 🚫 in our community.
Florida Statute 810.08: Defines trespassing as entering or remaining in a structure or conveyance without authorization, invitation, or a license. In addition, staying on the property without the expressed or implied permission of the owner is also trespassing.
What is the no soliciting law in Florida: According to Florida law, individuals who engage in door-to-door solicitation activities that sell, lease or rent consumer goods or services with a purchase price more than $25 are required to have a home solicitation permit issued by the Brevard County Clerk of the Courts.
Per the Brevard County Clerk of Courts office, if a company completed and was approved for a Home Solicitation permit, they are issued a photo identification badge that they must present to homeowners. If they don’t present a photo identification badge upon request they are not legit!
